There's something quietly thrilling about packing up work you've made by hand and carrying it somewhere new. This month, we're doing exactly that — heading to Beadnell for our very first craft fair.
Beadnell feels like the right place to begin. A small Northumberland village where the sea is never far from view, where the light shifts constantly and the shoreline gives up its treasures slowly. It's the kind of place that understands the patience behind handmade things.
More than that: Beadnell holds a special place in our heart, and is an ancestral home for us. It is a unique and special place that is truly close to our hearts.
We'll be bringing a carefully chosen selection of seaglass jewellery — pieces gathered, shaped, and set over many quiet hours. Each one is one of a kind, as the sea intended.
We don't know quite what to expect from our first fair. New faces, new conversations, the particular energy of a room full of makers. We're looking forward to all of it.
If you're in the area, we'd love to see you. Come and find us, hold something in your hand, and take a little piece of the coast home with you.
Fun fact: Did you know that Beadnell is the only west-facing bay on the English East Coast?
